Luxury Backyard Wedding In Nebraska

This luxury backyard wedding in Nebraska (Grand Island) checked all the boxes for an elegant yet cozy and down-to-earth wedding day. The only thing not chill about this day was the 45 mph winds pictured below.

We started the day off getting ready in a cabin. Since Lana and Ryan opted not see each other before the wedding, we shot some separate wedding party photos, and did blind private vows before the ceremony.

The ceremony was out back by the lake, and was absolutely beautiful.

We shot portraits after the ceremony. We had to be a bit flexible because the wind was really strong, so instead of adventuring around the property, I found the best wind-block on the property and we shot most of the photos there. When the wind is that strong, the priority becomes finding a spot where hair has a fighting chance to look normal. But I can’t believe how beautiful the photos turned out!

The ceremony was in a large event space they have on-site, with killer views. Instead of dancing, they enjoyed drinks by the pool and looked off at the sun setting beyond the lake and the river. It was a simple but luxury backyard wedding in Nebraska.
